The "ATTIC APARTMENT" is situated  in an excellent location for touring Royal Deeside and enjoying the Cairngorm National Park.  Leisure activities range from walks along the River Dee (a short stroll from the apartment) to more adventurous walks in the Cairngorms.  Cycle routes are many and varied; there are several excellent golf courses (the Ballater Course is at the end of the road); and Salmon fishing on the world famous River Dee is a stones throw away.  A wide selection of shops, pubs, restaurants and takeaways are within easy walking distance. There is a landscaped garden to the rear and a parking space.  There is a good regular transport service by bus to Aboyne and beyond.

 There are two ski resorts nearby, Glenshee situated at Cairnwell Mountain where the A93 rises to 2,200 ft and the Lecht situated on the Lecht Road, both offering ski-schools and cafes. There is also a handgliding school at Cairnwell.  Balmoral is near by, the summer residence of the British Royal Family, where the grounds and exhibitions are open on a daily basis from late March to late July.
